Irish Bread Making Contest

Do you have a favorite family recipe for Irish soda bread?

Bake and bring your Irish soda bread to the IrishFest Atlanta to win first place!

The top three contestants will be awarded prizes from King Arthur Flour:

The top three youth (under 18) contestants will be awarded prizes:

  • 1st place– $40 gift card to King Arthur King Arthur Baker’s Catalogue/ kingarthurflour.com

  • 2nd place– $25 gift card to King Arthur King Arthur Baker’s Catalogue/ kingarthurflour.com

  • 3rd place– King Arthur tote bag

The Rules:

  • Please drop off one disposable plate or container containing a loaf of Irish soda bread to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center festival grounds Bread Making Tent between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 9th. Be sure your name on the bottom of the plate or container.

  • JUDGING BEGINS AT 1:00 PM.

  • To be eligible to enter and win the King Arthur Flour prizes, contestants must use King Arthur Flour in their recipe and provide proof of purchase (UPC Code from flour bag or receipt).

Soda bread will be scored by the following:

  • Taste 40 points

  • Overall Appearance 20 points

  • Creativity 20 points

  • Texture 20 points for a total of 100 points.

Winners may be asked to share their recipe for publication. You are not eligible if you are a food professional who sells baked goods as a business. The decisions of the judges will be final:).
